It focuses on the development of network protocols and management solutions for ubiquitous networks (RFID, ad hoc and mesh networks, DTNs). There are five areas that will be studied: efficient routing algorithms for mesh and ad hoc networks, network management in sensor networks, efficient query dissemination in sensor networks, security in sensor networks and reliable tag identification in RFID systems.
